RESULTS OF TESTING 2009
An Electromyograph, or EMG study, which involves testing the electrical activity of muscles, showed that using Wonderweight activates an average 20 to 30% contraction in these muscles;
the anterior deltoid,
external pectorus major
the posterior deltoid
latissimus dorsai
the upper trapezius
infraspinatus
the lower trapezius
the serratus anterior
This dergee of contraction is excellent for muscle endurance making Wonderweight the perfect tool for rehabilitation and physical therapy. GREAT FOR WORKOUT WARM-UPS By increasing the weight and the RPM it is possible to increase resistance, allowing gradual warm up during a workout session. The subjects found the unique device to be an enjoyable exercise that can be engaged in with ease in a great variety of settings. Testing was carried out in January 2009 by Rafael F. Escamilla Ph.D. at the Physical Therapy Department of Sacramento State University, California using nine male and nine female subjects.
